Submission & Review Process

All manuscript submissions must be made online through the Editorial Scholar portal — the dedicated submission and review system for IJM. Hard copy submissions are not accepted. Please register on the portal, follow the submission checklist in the Author Guidelines, and upload your manuscript in Microsoft Word format.

The complete review process typically takes 8–10 months from the date of submission. This includes desk review, plagiarism screening, peer review, revision rounds, and final editing. IJM receives a high volume of submissions, which necessitates this timeline. Authors seeking rapid publication should consider other venues.

IJM follows the APA Style Guide (7th Edition) for all references, citations, figures, and tables. Authors should ensure their manuscript is formatted in accordance with APA guidelines before submission. Manuscripts with inconsistent or incorrect referencing may be returned for correction before entering review.

No. Simultaneous submission of the same manuscript to more than one journal is considered unethical and is a violation of IJM's publication ethics policy. Your submission must be original and not currently under review elsewhere. Submitting the same article after rejection from another journal is permitted.
Publication & Format

IJM is both a print and online journal. It is published monthly in print and made available online. Authors whose papers are published receive three complimentary print copies of the issue in which their paper appears.

APC is charged only after a manuscript has been accepted following the completion of the full peer review process. The charges are: ₹23,000 for Indian authors and USD 350 for international authors. These fees support typesetting, hosting, and editorial operations. IJM does not charge submission fees.

Yes. All IJM articles published before 2024 are freely available as open access under AMCPL's archival open access policy. Articles published from 2024 onwards require a subscription or individual purchase. Visit the Archive section of this website to browse all issues.
