The Indian Journal of Marketing accepts submissions exclusively through the Editorial Scholar online portal — a dedicated submission and peer review management system. Hard copy submissions are not accepted. A detailed submission preparation checklist is available on the portal; authors are advised to review all checklist items carefully before initiating their submission.
The Indian Journal of Marketing publishes under a hybrid access model. Accepted manuscripts are published under subscription access at no charge to the author. Authors who wish their paper to be made freely available online as Open Access must indicate this preference at the time of submission. Open Access slots are limited per issue and are allocated on a first-come, first-served basis among eligible accepted manuscripts. Open Access publication is subject to an Article Processing Charge (APC).
The Indian Journal of Marketing does not charge any submission fee. No payment is required at any stage prior to acceptance.
| Author Category | Access Route | APC | Notes |
|---|---|---|---|
| Indian Authors | Subscription Access | No charge | Published in print & online |
| Indian Authors | Open Access (author-elected) | ₹40,000 | After acceptance · CC BY-NC 4.0 |
| International Authors | Subscription Access | No charge | Published in print & online |
| International Authors | Open Access (author-elected) | USD 500 | After acceptance · CC BY-NC 4.0 |
APC is charged only after successful completion of peer review and formal acceptance of the manuscript. It is never linked to the acceptance decision. Indian and international rates are independently set for their respective author categories and are not subject to mutual currency conversion. All published authors receive two complimentary print copies of the issue in which their paper appears. International authors who prefer not to receive print copies may request a waiver of print dispatch, and this does not affect the APC or any other publication terms. The Indian Journal of Marketing's Open Access APC is significantly lower than comparable internationally indexed hybrid journals, making Open Access publication accessible to researchers across institutions of all sizes.
